Arunachal: Tawang gets season's high snowfall

Itanagar, Feb 08: Arunachal's Tawang district has been witnessing the season's heaviest snowfall during the last few days.

The entire township and its surrounding areas have recorded over one feet snowfall, Met sources said.

According to sources, the massive snowfall has created lot of problems for commuters disrupting normal life.

Many vehicles were stranded on both sides of Sela Pass due to the road blockage and school and office goers were mostly detained at home.

The Border Road Task Force (BRTF) has pressed its men since yesterday with snow cutters and bulldozers between Jang and Sela to clear up the blockage immediately, sources informed adding, it would take another day to clear the snow.
