Saudi Arabia Boeing makes emergency landing at CSIA
Mumbai, Feb 8 (UNI) A Saudi Arabia Boeing aircraft made an emergency landing at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) here today, following a technical snag.
The Airport authorities said that at around 1400 hours, the aircraft carrying 368 passengers, took off for Jeddah. After a few minutes, pilot of the plane informed the ATC (Air Traffic Control) room that out of the four engines, one was not functioning.
The ATC officials advised him to land the flight at the airport, following which, the pilot dumped the fuel in the Arabian Sea and made a landing at the airport at 1500 hours safely, the sources added.
