Portfolios allocated in MP
Bhopal, Feb 8 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Minister Rustam Singh has also been given additional charge of the key Panchayats and Rural Development Department, official sources said today.
The departments that were under former ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Rampal Singh have been distributed among Mr Rustam Singh, Mr Jagdish Deora, Ms Kusum Mehedele, Vijay Shah and Nagendra Singh.
The resignation papers of Mr Tomar and Mr Rampal Singh were accepted by Governor Balram Jakhar yesterday.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will jointly look after the Public Relations Department with Minister of State for Home, General Administration and Narmada Valley Development N Singh.
Woman and Child Development Minister Mehedele will take care of Social Justice while Tribal Welfare Minister Vijay Shah would also look after Village Industry and Labour Minister Deora was given additional charge of Public Health Engineering.
Panchayats, Rural Development, Village Industry and Public Relations Minister Tomar and Public Health Engineering and Social Justice Minister Rampal Singh had put in their papers after Mr Tomar was elected as the Bharatiya Janata Party's state unit president and Mr Singh emerged victorious in the Vidisha Lok Sabha bypoll.
