Shimla, Feb 8 (UNI) Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister P K Dhumal today said fuel prices in the state have risen by 50 and 14 paise respectively even after VAT on petrol and diesel was reduced by Rs two and Re one by the state Cabinet on February six.

The increase in the fuel prices in the state after VAT on them was reduced by Rs two and Re one was proof of the state government's difference in words and deeds, he said in a release here.

Mr Dhumal said though price of no commodity has fallen due the state government's policies, the Chief Minister has been claiming that the prices of essential commodities were coming down.

Despite CM's claims, onions in the state were being sold for Rs 20 per kg, he said.

Referring to Mr Singh's statement on the delimitation commission's report, he said the work on the delimitation of the constituencies in the state was initiated under the present Congress Government after the Parliament decided that the exercise should be based on 2001 census, instead of 1991 census.

He cautioned Mr Singh from making baseless and false allegations on the issue, saying he was been exposed before the people of the state.
