PDP cheif visit fake encounter victims in Kashmir without security
Srinagar, Feb 8 (UNI) President of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a partner in the coalition government, Mehbooba Mufti today gave slip to her security personnel and visited the fake encounter victims in her home district Anantnag today.
The leader after the visit rejected the allegation of main Opposition National Conference (NC) and some Congress leaders that a request by PDP chief patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to withdraw his and his daughter's personnel security with immediate effect was politically motivated.
We want to show that we can move without security in the Kashmir valley, she said, adding ''we are ready to take any risk for the restoration of peace in the valley''.
She, however, felt sorry for his security personnel who are now facing heat from the authorities for allowing them to visit some areas in south Kashmir without any security.
Ms Mehbooba said the move was never politically motivated as being alleged by some people who were least bothered about the people of Kashmir.
''We sincerely want return of peace in Kashmir as enough blood was shed during all these years and we are in favour of a honorable solution to the problem,'' Ms Mufti said.
