One student killed, six injured in school van-truck collision

Surat, Feb 8 (UNI) A student was killed and six others injured today when a Maruti van carrying school children collided with a truck near RTO office on Valsad-Dharampur Road in Valsad.

According to sources, a nine-year old student Vikki Rajubhai Patel died on the spot and six other students were injured when the Maruti van carrying students of Swaminarayan School in Valsad collided with a truck.

The injured students were taken to nearby Kasturba Hospital immediately. Valsad police have registered a case and investigations are on, sources said.
