One killed, another injured in accident in HP

Shimla, Feb 8 (UNI) One person was killed and another seriously injured after their vehicle fell into a gorge in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh today, police sources said.

The accident occurred at about 1430 hrs at Mandi village in Arki sub division of the district when the Mahindra pick up was on its way to Rekong Peo in Kinnuar district from Dhami.

The sources said the driver, identified as Ajay Kumar, was killed on the spot while, another person, identified as Pankaj, was injured in the accident.

Pankaj has been referred to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMC) here, the sources said, adding that the cause of the accident was being ascertained.

A case has been registered and investigations were on, they added.
