Arunachal: NSCN (K) militant killed in encounter

Itanagar, Feb 08: One NSCN (K) militant was killed in an encounter with the 39 Assam Rifles jawans at Saching village, about 15 km from Changlang Town in Arunachl's Changlang district yesterday.

Official sources said the militant, killed yesterday, was suspected to be a self-styled sergeant major of the outfit and responsible for carrying out extortion and terrorist activities all over the district.

A sophisticated communication set, about four kg of explosives and a large quantity of equipment were recovered from the slain militant, sources added.
