MCD free to indentify more roads for mixed land use: Maken
New Delhi, Feb 8 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Urban Development Ajay Maken today indicated that more roads in the capital could be added to the present 2,183 roads where mixed land use will be allowed under the new Master Plan.
Besides, the roads where commercial activities would be permitted alongside residences under the MPD 2021, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi had been given 90 days to identify more such roads across in the city, he said.
Extended 'Lal Dora Abadis' were being regularised on the same footing as unauthorised colonies, he further said.
In order to give relief to people whose establishments had been sealed under the 'negative trade list', it was decided to consider settling them in upcoming wholesale markets, he added.
Mr Maken also defended the master plan, saying it was a well conceived plan that had taken various points of view as also the future water and electricity scenario.
