Man found loitering on runway at Palam airport

New Delhi, Feb 8 (UNI) A 19-year-old youth has been arrested after he was caught 'loitering' at one of the runways on Palam Airport here.

Rakesh Singh, who hailed from Siwan in Bihar, reportedly broke the fence wire of the domestic airport and entered the prohibited area on Runway 28, said a police official.

''He was caught yesterday north of Runway 28 by one of the airport officials who later handed him over to the police.'' It was surprising that none of the sentinels on duty noticed the Rakesh despite his moving around for quite some time, sources said.

A case has been registered at Palam Airport police station and the teenager was being interrogated, police added.
