LeT worker arrested, war-like stores recovered in Kashmir
Srinagar, Feb 8 (UNI) Troops arrested a worker of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and recovered in another operation war-like stores in the Kashmir Valley overnight, a defence spokesman said.
He said on a specific information, the troops conducted a search operation at Harwan in the frontier district of Kupwara last night.
During the operation, they arrested the LeT worker who was involved in aiding, abetting, harbouring and providing logistic support to militants.
Later, the militant was handed over to police for further investigation, he said.
In another operation, Army recovered war-like stores near Sogam in the same district, he said.
The recovery includes one AK-56 rifle, two AK-56 magazines, 40 rounds AK-56 ammunition that were wrapped in a polythene and hidden underground.
However, no one was arrested.
