KEI Indus plans expansion to generate 150-200 cr

New Delhi, Feb 8: Targeting a revenue generation of Rs 150-200 crore, KEI Industries Ltd, a manufacturer of wire and cable products today announced its expansion and upgradation plans costing Rs 30-35 crore.

The company has purchased about five acres of land measuring behind its existing LT/HT cables facilities at Bhiwadi.

The move is aimed at expansion of existing production of LT/HT cables and upgradation of HT power cable manufacturing to 132 KV from the present 66 KV through the installment of balancing equipments.

''The expansion and upgradation project will help the company report higher utilisation levels, facilitate better operational controls, translate into significant savings on manufacturing and administrative overheads and most importantly, lay the foundation for taking on and executing high value EPC projects,'' the company said.

The cost of the project is estimated to be in the range of Rs 30-35 crore for purchase of land, plant and machinery with the expected revenue contribution pegged at Rs 150-200 crore, it added.

This project is expected to commence operations within the next seven to eight months.
