Irains suspended at Guwahati following bomb scare
Guwahati, Feb 8 (UNI) Railway operation between Guwahati and Rangiya was suspended till February 10, following report of a possible bomb planted in the track.
Following a tip-off last night, the NF Railway officials suspended railway operation. Trains coming to Guwahati were stopped at Rangiya and the passengers were sent by bus, specially the athletes arriving for the National Games.
This morning all long distance trains have left via south bank.
The railway service will not be affected as the south bank line provides an alternative railway track. Meanwhile, the security forces have been trying to verify the veracity of the tip off and sniffer dogs have been used.
