Haryana plan to build 90 Road Over Bridges
Chandigarh, Feb 8 (UNI) The Haryana government has formulated a Master Plan for construction of 90 Road Over Bridges (ROBs) to be completed within a period of five years.
The plan is aimed at avoiding inordinate delay at various railway level crossings in the state, an official spokesman said today.
He said the Haryana PWD(B&R) Department in collaboration with the Haryana State Roads and Bridges Development Corporation conducted a seminar-cum-workshop on Design, Construction and Maintenance of Bridges at Kurukshetra University yesterday.
Mr H S Chahal, Engineer-in-Chief of the Haryana PWD (B&R) Department, inaugurated the seminar and Mr Dharamvir, Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, PWD delivered the valedictory address.
Mr Dharamvir said the seminar would go a long way in upgrading and updating the knowledge on construction of roads and bridges of the officers of the department.
