Guj Home Dept promotes, transfers 9 IAS officials

Ahmedabad, Feb 8 (UNI) In a minor administrative reshuffle, Gujarat Home Department promoted and transferred as many as nine officers of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) rank.

The Gujarat Home Department sources said of these nine IAS officials, six have been given super time-scale promotion retaining their present post and deparment while three others have been transferred.

The promoted officers are - Anju Sharma, director on training in Commerce&Industry Ministry Government of India, V Thirupugaz, who is on educational foreign tour, S J Haider, Municipal commissioner Bhavnagar city, J P Gupta, special commerce tax-commisioner, Bhagyesh Jha, Entertainment Tax Commissioner, and D P Joshi, Jt Registrar (Audit), cooperative societies.

Those transferred are - M D Kothari, who is presently member secretary of Non-Resident Gujarati (NRG) Foundation has been transferred as Managing director of Gujarat Rural Industrial Marketing Corporation (GRIMCO). Mr Kothari has been placed by Y C Potedar, who was on suspension. While, K S Patel, secretary Gujarat State Service Selection Board (Gandhinagar), has been appointed as deputy secretary Panchayat Gram Gruh Nirman Department.
