Ghuran Ram is RJD candidate for Palamu Lok Sabha byelection

New Delhi, Feb 8 (UNI) Mr Ghuran Ram will be the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate for the byelection to Palamu Lok Sabha constituency in Jharkhand.

RJD President Lalu Prasad told UNI that Palamu has been a stronghold of the party and he hoped to retain the seat by fielding Mr Ghuran Ram.

The byelection to Palamu Lok Sabha constituency was necessitated in the wake of the Supreme Court dismissing the petition of RJD MP Manoj Bhuian and others, challenging the Lok Sabha Speaker's decision to disqualify them in the cash for query scam.
