Director calls for strengthening polytechnics

Hyderabad, Feb 8 (UNI) State Director of Technical Education Rajendra Narendra Nimje today called upon Lecturers of all polytechnic institutes to strengthen the institutes and improve the skills of the students.

Addressing the polytechnic All Lecturers' Association (PALA) members at its 13th State Council meeting here, he said it was the responsibility of the lecturers to mould the students to improve their skills for better job opportunities after the education.

Maintaining that the Government was giving priority to the technical education in the state, he claimed that all the 64 government polytechnic institutes were performing well.

The government had already fulfilled some of the demands of Lecturers, including implementation of 50 per cent DA merger in pay scales and also implemented the Career Advancement Scheme for staff members, he added.
