Bombardier feels regional jets suitable for India

Bangalore, Feb 8 (UNI) Bombardier Aerospace today observed that there was a tremendous potential for development of regional connectivity and said its regional jets were suitable for it.

Speaking to newspersons at Aero India 2007 here, Company Vice-President (Marketing and Communications) Thung NGO said India was a key sector in the Asia Pacific region and was expected to show robust economic growth. Bombardier forecasts that Indian operators would take delivery of 330 aircraft with 20 to 149 seats between 2006 and 2025.

Bombardier's regional aircraft customers in India were Air Sahara with a fleet of seven 50 passenger CRJ200 regional jets, and Indus Air with two CRJ200 aircraft.

He said the company also offered business jets Learjet, Challenger and Global business jets, offering operators a unique combination of range, high performance value and superior comfort in the business aviation sector.

The company featured three of its market leading aircraft on static display at the sixth ongoing international aerospace exhibition, Aero India 2007. These aircraft were a 76 seat CRJ900 regional aircraft, a super midsize Challenger 300 and the ultra long range Global Express XRS business jets.
