BJP MP committee fixes year-long agenda
Bhopal, Feb 8 (UNI) The BJP's Madhya Pradesh unit working committee's two-day meeting that concluded here today fixed a year-long agenda for rendering the party organisation more active.
''Besides an attempt to make the masses aware of the Centre's erroneous policies, inflation and appeasement, the state government's achievements will be propagated,'' unit President Narendra Singh Tomar told reporters.
A decision was taken to adopt a ''report card system'' for fixing office-bearers' answerability as suggested by BJP General Secretary Anant Kumar, who also holds the charge of Madhya Pradesh.
''The card's draft will be prepared soon. Under it, the work done by district unit presidents and general secretaries will be described. The cards will be sent to the state office every month.
Office-bearers' report cards will be dispatched to the national general secretary in charge of the state,'' Mr Tomar explained.
A statewide human chain would be formed on February 10 by the Mahila Morcha in protest against inflation. The following day, Bharatiya Jana Sangh leader Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya's death anniversary would be observed as 'Sankalp Diwas' on which the party's Lifelong Assistance Fund would be set up. That very day, the Yuva Morcha would organise a statewide signature campaign against the Centre's wrong policies.
''On February 19, statewide mass courting of arrest will take place in the form of ''satyagraha'' against New Delhi's appeasement policies. From March 23 to April 15, an anti-inflation ''Dam Roko Andolan' will be conducted at the block level. Various programmes are planned for the BJP's founding day on April 6,'' Mr Tomar added.
A two-day training camp for workers will begin here on March 31.
District-level camps are scheduled in April and May, development camps from June to August and a ten-day ''Vikas Yatra'' will be organised in September.
