Base Victualling Yard celebrates 54th anniversary

Kochi, Feb 8 (UNI) The Base Victualling Yard celebrated its 54th anniversary at the Naval Base here.

According to an official release here today, the Yard, in keeping with its motto 'Provide the Best and Inspire the Rest'' provides quality rations, clothing and mess trap to all units of the Southern Naval Command, Coast Guard, Army, Air Force and the NCC.

Colonel J S Dharmadeheeran, Deputy Director Remount, Veterinary Corps (DDRVC) Andhra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka (ATNK &K) Area, inaugurated the celebrations yesterday.

An in-house function was held to celebrate the anniversary with the traditional cake-cutting ceremony by the yougest sailor.

Spread over nine acres of land with eight warehouses, the Yard is equipped with latest the state-of-the-art material handling equipment.
