Australian skier's body flown to Delhi tomorrow

Srinagar, Feb 8 (UNI) The body of a 31-year-old Austalian skier Shaun Gregory Anton, who was buried alive under an avalanche in Gulmarg sector in Jammu and Kashmir yesterday, will be airlifted to Delhi tomorrow.

Official sources said an official of the Australian embassy arrived here from Delhi this afternoon.

The body will be taken to Delhi tomorrow from where it will be flown to Australia, they added.

They said a group of skiers had gone for skiing at Affarwat (4390 mtrs), in world famous ski resort of Gulmarg early yesterday morning.

However, when they were skiing down hill, a huge avalanche came down, and buried Shaun Gregory Anton, a resident of Melbourne. Other skiers, however, escaped unhurt.

They said it took about 45 minutes to recovere the body of Shaun from under the snow.
