4 children injured during midday meal distribution

Lucknow, Feb 8 (UNI) At least four children received burn injuries, one seriously, when a utensil, in which food was being cooked, fell on them during the the midday meal distribution in a primary school at Sanjhaktauli under Shahpur police station area in Muzaffarnagar district today.

Police said the seriously injured Sachin was admitted to a government hospital. Other three were given first aid and sent home.

Meanwhile, in another incident in Muzaffarnagar city, a person identified as Manoj was shot dead by three motorcycle-borne criminals near Jail Phatak this morning.

The deceased was a resident of Gandhi colony and the reason behind the killing was said to be old rivalry.
