US, "Guest of Honour" country in Book Fair
Kolkata, Feb 7 (UNI) Issues related to visas will be addressed by the American officers at the 32nd Kolkata Book Fair, where the country will participate as the 'Guest of Honour Country''.
An American Centre release here said a huge pavilion of the American Library, opened 63 years ago, would be installed in the fair, starting from February 9 at Saltlake Stadium.
The book lovers would get an opportunity to grab some rare collections on management, computers, English language teaching, sports, American literature, exciting audio-books and US Embassy's prestigious publication SPAN all under one stall.
A debate on 'Internet, a substitute for books and libraries' would be conducted on February 11 for the visitors.
The Centre would also provide spot membership, for the library, at discounted rates with attractive gifts to those, who wish to enroll at the pavilion.
Besides, the students interested to study in US could also seek information from the United States Educational Foundation of India (USEFI) counter, the release stated.
Next year the country is likely to particiapte as the 'Theme country', sources said.
