Coimbatore, Feb 7 (UNI) Strange it sounds! If its been written in fate to starve awhile, he or she will, despite status or capacity! For Union Minister Saifuddin Soz and his secretary, February five night would last in their memory.

The Minister, who was here to attend a function at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) last night, found that no food had been arranged for him at the Circuit House by the district administration.

Mr Soz and his Secretary were forced to go out and seek a hotel late at night.

Sources in the district administration, on condition of anonymity, said the Minister, who arrived from Chennai last night to attend the International Groundwater Conference at TNAU, was lodged at Circuit House. But, when the Minister's Secretary enquired about dinner, the guest house officials said no message had been received from any authority to make food for the Minister.

Shocked over this, the Secretary lambasted Tahsildar Rajendran, who had come to meet the Minister, and sought an explanation.

Following the mess up, Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary L K Tripathi today sought an explanation from the district administration, District Collector and TNAU.
