Safran to set up smart card plant in Noida
Bangalore, Feb 7 (UNI) Safran group, the France-based industry consortium known for manufacturing aircraft engines, will set up a smart card plant in Noida with an investment of 50 million Euros.
Briefing newspersons about the new venture at Aero India-2007, which began here today, company CEO Jean-Paul Bechat said the group had procured an order for eleven million cards from the Indian Army and another six million cards from the banking sector and Governmental organisations.
''We will double our headcount in India in the next three years.
At present, we have a 1,000-strong employee group in our six subsidiaries in India. We have made a spectacular growth in this country within a span of five years,'' he added.
