Over 3 lakh delegates to take part in 3rd VHP conference
Allahabad, Feb 7 (UNI) A large number of delegates from over one lakh villages, including Non Resident Indians (NRI) from over 100 countries, will participate in the 3rd Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) conference on the banks of the Ganga river.
Talking to UNI today, Ms Anjali Pandya, who is looking after the work of foreign delegates, said ''VHP is targetting the participation of over 3 lakh delegates in the three day conference starting from February 11.
It would be a unique, perhaps once in a life time opportunity to meet, interact and collectively think about the global Hindu issues.'' The VHP Sammelan is being organised on the them ''Where there is dharma there is victory''.
She added preparations are in full swing. A tent city, spread in more than 300 acres of land in sector 8 of the Ardh Kumbh Mela has come up. The tent city is being established in the name of second Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh, who was the prime founder of VHP in 1964.
Besides, 60 'upnagars' (subcities) in the name of prominent personalities are being established where delegates from different states and countries would stay, she said.
The delegates will discuss the internal and external security of the country, Bangladeshi infiltrators expanding activities of the Maoists, terrorism, cow slaughter and construction of a grand Ram temple at Ayodhya.
Besides, the VHP will host special sessions of all the delegates coming from different countries to deliberate on several topics, including Hindu identity and the importance of the Hindu cultural experiences for the international youth community, Hindu Human Rights and raising community awareness for the Hindu identity.
