Dharamshala, Feb 7 (UNI) The state police has claimed to have busted a flesh trade racket in Kangra district with the arrest of two women pimps after the grandmother of a 14-year old girl victim informed the police of their role in forcing her into prostitution.

Meena (name changed) told her grandmother that she had been forced into prostitution by two women, identified as Reeta and Poonam, who had been supplying her to different people at state guest houses and dharamshalas and hotels.

According to Meena, the women were supplying her to different people in the district since she was eight years old only.

The incident came to light only recently when the girl returned home one day with a mobile set and was receiving calls though out the night, forcing her grand mother to confront her from where she had brought it, the sources said.

Following Meena's sustained questioning by her grandmother, she divulged everything and the role of the women in the racket.

The sources said the women named by the girl have been arrested and a case has been registered, adding investigations were on.
