UP govt is responsible for President's rule: Jaiswal
Agra, Feb 6: Union Minister of State for Home Sri Prakash Jaiswal has said if President's rule is imposed in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the Assembly polls, the Samajwadi Party (SP)-led state government would only be responsible for it.
''However, at present, the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre is in no mood to impose President's rule in the state,'' Mr Jaiswal told mediapersons here yesterday.
Expressing concern over the ''dismal'' law and order situation in state, he alleged ''over the years crime has increased, especially during the rule of Cheif Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav...Instead of 'Uttam Pradesh', he has developed 'Jungle Raj' in UP.'' He added so far, Congress has not decided with which party it will coaliate in the forthcoming Assembly elections. ''Talks are on...,'' he maintained.
