Unauthorised colonies to be regularised in few days: Shiela
New Delhi, Feb 6 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today said unauthorised colonies in the naitonal capital will be regularised very soon.
While laying the foundation stone of Wazirabad Signature Bridge in North Delhi, she said the union government had made up its mind to regularise unauthorised colonies in the city and expressed the hope that an announcement to this effect would be made within next few days.
Rededicating her government's commitment towards welfare of the people, Ms Dikshit made it clear that all efforts would be made to safeguard interests of Delhiites.
Earlier in the day, union Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy said Delhi Master Plan 2021 had been singed and it would be formally notified in the next couple of days.
This was expected to redress problems like change in landuse, illegal constructions and unauthorised colonies, and end the year-long row over these issues in the capital.
