2 Hizbul Mujahideen militants killed in south Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 6: Two militants of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) were killed by security forces in a fierce encounter in south Kashmir late last night, a police spokesman said.

He said troops of 42 battalion Border Security Force (BSF) and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police conducted a search operation at Chuntwari village in Pulwama district of south Kashmir last night.

During the operation, an encounter took palce in which two HM militants -- Javid Ahmad Ganaie and Sajjad Ahmad, were killed. One ak rifle and other arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants.
