Three jawans injured in stone pelting

Koderma, Feb 06 (UNI) A mob blocked the Ranchi-Patna road and injured three security force personnel by pelting them with stones following the death of a child in an accident at Satpulia near here today.

The three jawans, who had come to the spot to clear the blockade, were seriously injured in the incident.Their vehicle was also damaged, police said.

The local people had blocked the road from 0500 hours after the child was run over by a truck in the wee hours.

The agitators were demanding compensation for the kin of the child, police said.

The Deputy Commissioner along with other senior officials had reached the spot.
