Slander mail to Sonia, complaint on Press staffer
Surat, Feb 6: The Umra police have registered a complaint against a staffer of an eveninger here for allegedly sending slanderous e-mails to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, police sources said here today.
Publisher Pravin Gohil of Gujarati eveninger 'Pratap Darpan' yesterday filed a complaint against his employee Alpesh Sapkal, a computer operator, stating that Sapkal had sent 25 slanderous e-mails on December 11 last year to Ms Gandhi from the office computer by using different e-mail IDs, without his knowledge, the sources said.
Mr Gohil alleged that the mails were sent with the intention to defame 'Visat Prakashan', publishers of the eveninger.
No arrest had been made so far, the sources added.
