Serial killing suspect sent to Police custody

Mumbai, Feb 6 (UNI) The Mumbai police has picked up one person on suspicion of being the serial killer, who sent panic waves across the streets of South Mumbai for over a month.

The police has booked Ravindra Kantale alias Ravi Parshuram Kontrol as a suspect in the murder of an unidentified person at the Marine lines area on November 1, 2005, which is one of the four murders that have been linked to the serial killings.

He was produced before a local court today, which remanded him to police custody till Februrary 20.

Earlier, the man was detained in connection with the Azad Maidan and Grant Road murders on January 23.
