PMK terms Cauvery Tribunal verdict as ''huge disappointment''

Chennai, Feb 6 (UNI) Even as leaders of various political parties in Tamil Nadu hailed the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal's (CWDT) final award, Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) Founder Leader S Ramadoss dubbed it as a ''huge disappointment.'' Reacting to the final award, Dr Ramadoss, in a statement here, urged the DMK Government to immediately convene an all-party meeting to discuss the issue and take the next course of action.

Though the award gave us a feeling that ''all are Indians'', its order, directing Karnataka to release 192 tmcft of water to Tamil Nadu, was disappointing as it was less than 205 tmcft of water ensured by the interim award of the Tribunal.
