Srinagar, Feb 6 (UNI) Taking a cue from party Patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed seeking withdrawal of his and his daughter's personal security, other PDP MLAs have also decided to submit written applications to Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to withdraw their personal security.

PDP Member of Legislative Council Basharat Bukhari said the decision was taken at a meeting of PDP legislators which took place at former Deputy Chief Minister Muzafar Hussain Baig's residence.

Reacting to Mr Azad's statement in the State Assembly yesterday that those politicians who demand gradual reduction of security forces and their replacement with the state police should seek withdrawal of their security, Mr Sayeed, in a letter to Mr Azad, said it has been a consistent view of the PDP that a dignified solution to the problems facing Jammu and Kashmir could come only through dialogue and peaceful means.
