Bangalore, Feb 6 (UNI) Paramount Airways will acquire 15 new aircraft to spread its wings to North India, company Managing Director Thiagarajan said today.

Announcing the introduction of the Bangalore-Hyderabad service from tomorrow at a press conference here, he said the new aircraft, to be acquired by 2008-09, would be utilised for introducing services to cities in North India.

''Our performance has been very promising. We have succeeded in garnering over 23 per cent of the market share in the South, in the routes in which we fly, and have emerged as the carrier of choice.

We have been connecting new destinations in the South month on month,'' he added.

Mr Thiagarajan said the flight to Hyderabad, with same day return option, would benefit business travel between the two cities.

To a question, he said there was a proposal to introduce services to Mangalore and Hubli.

Paramount Airways connected eight destinations with five aircraft and operated 48 flights daily, transporting about 3,000 passengers every day.
