One killed in exchange of fire between police and ultras

Chatra, Feb 6 (UNI) A person was killed in a cross fire between police and extremists at Lawalong in Jharkhand's Chatra district last night, police said today.

Suprintendent of Police Kamlesh Kumar said the encounter followed after the CPI(Maoist) ultras attacked a police picket at Lawalong killing an occupant of a jeep, which was passing the area.

Armed extremists also exploded bombs damaging two houses in the village.
