One killed in cross fire between police and ultras

Chatra, Feb 6 (UNI) One person was killed in a crossfire between police and extremists at Lawalong in Jharkhand's Chatra district last night, police said today.

Suprintendent of Police Kamlesh Kumar said the encounter followed after the CPI(Maoist) ultras attacked a police picket at Lawalong killing an occupant of a jeep, which was passing through the area.

Armed extremists also exploded bombs damaging two houses in the village.
