Nine consume spurious liquor

Hoshangabad, MP, Feb 6 (UNI) Nine people took ill this evening, three of them severely, after consuming spurious liquor at Kanjar Mohalla in this district's Piparia, the police said.

All the victims, who purchased liquor from the same person, were hospitalised in Piparia.

Excise department sleuths were assaulted after they raided the same locality about a fortnight back following a complaint about manufacture of spurious liquor.
