Night trains continue to be suspended in Upper Asom

Guwahati, Feb 6 (UNI) Passenger trains plying at night would continue to remain suspended in Upper Asom till February 10 due to security concerns.

All mail, express and passenger train services would remain suspended from 1800 hours to 0500 hours till revision on February 10, CPRO of N F Railways informed in a release.

Goods trains, however, would continue running as per schedule.

Night trains had been suspended throughout the state in the run-up to the Republic Day and it was subsequently extended till February 7 for Upper Asom.

Special passenger trains during the day had been provided between Guwahati-Tinsukia, Lumding-Silchar and in the Rangia to Murkongselek sections on the North Bank, the release added.
