Maoist arrested in Belpahari

Purulia, Feb 6 (UNI) Shyamapada Mahato, Maoist of Naljal village in Belpahari of West Midnapore, who was arrested yesterday at Bargaria village in Bora here, was admitted to Purulia Sadar Deben Mahato hospital today because of illness.

Earlier, two extremists-Rakesh and Ramkrishna Mahato were arrested also from Boro.

Police recovered a pipe gun and seized a printing machine from them, said district superintendent of police Ashok Kumar Prosad.

All are now in jail custody. They were extorting Rs 50,000 from Mr Gupupada Singh Sardar, teacher of Bargaria High School, Boro.
