'Khosla Ka Ghosla' invited to filmAsia in April

Mumbai, Feb 6 (UNI) UTV's critically acclaimed 'Khosla Ka Ghosla' has been invited to the filmAsia festival to be held in Graz, Austria between April 13 and 17 this year.

The film will compete with other Asian masterpieces at the festival, an UTV release here today said.

'Khosla Ka Ghosla' has bagged honours for the best original screenplay award at the Kara festival held in Karachi in Dec 2006 and at this years Screen awards it won the Ramnath Goenka award for Path-breaking cinema.

The salient feature about the film remains its simple and straightforward plot. A superb masterpiece that portrays how a middle class family fight back a builder using his own tricks of trade. Generally real estate issues are not only of big menace in the Indian subcontinent but also across the world. It is this magical mantra that enabled to win the hearts of many exploited fans who might have been through the same ordeal when dealing with property issues, the release said.

This honour proves that Indian cinema today has a demand across the world with niche markets Austria waking up to the magic of Indian films. A film like 'Khosla Ka Ghosla' where the story is the Hero made in a small, lean budget goes to prove that a film story needs to connect with the audience. The image of Indian cinema being famous for its main line commercial big-budgeted films is fast changing, the release added.
