Industry think tanks to mull on India's future
Chennai, Feb 6: With the world setting eyes on emerging global leader India, the Indian industry think tanks will come together here on February 16 to deliberate measures to further consolidate the leadership position.
The two-day convention on 'Global Leadership - India Can Do It,' organised by the Madras Management Association (MMA), would analyse where the Indian industry stood in terms of global benchmarks and standards and how to surge ahead by removing roadblocks.
Addressing a press conference here, MMA President C K Ranganathan said with Indian companies achieving path-breaking success in conquering boundaries beyond India, the day of reckoning was not far to make the country a competent world super power.
Captains of various sectors like health care and pharma, telecom, automobile/auto components, education, IT/ITES, entertainment/media would share views on their industry, he said.
National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council Chairman V Krishnamurthy and Ashok Leyland Ltd Managing Director R Seshasayee would deliver the inaugural and key note address respectively.
The special address would be delivered by Mr Vijay Eswaran, Group Managing Director of Hong Kong-based QI Group of Companies, the main sponsor of the convention.
About 800 delegates would take part in the convention, Mr Ranganathan added.
