ICICI Bank, BNHS launch ''Go Green'' project
Mumbai, Feb 6 (UNI) ICICI Bank and Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) have joined hands to launch ''Go Green Project'', an initiative to convert customers from paper account statements to e-mail statements.
Mr Nachiket Mor, Deputy Managing Director of ICICI Bank, launched the project at Navi Mumbai today.
Bank officials, along with customers, planted saplings at the venue. CIDCO has earmarked 13 acres of land along the 90 metre wide Palm Marg in Nerul for development of a public garden and tree plantation, a statement issued here said.
Mr Mor said, ''ICICI Bank has endeavoured to inculcate amongst its customers the values of conservation of paper. The bank itself has a robust internal process in place whereby majority of communication is paperless. We encourage our customers to subscribe for online statements, which would ensure paper conservation.'' To appreciate the efforts made by customers by opting for e-statements, the bank will bestow them with a certificate of honour. Additionally, the customers names will be mentioned in the ''Roll Of Honour'' at the specially developed website for the project (www.gogreenindia.com.) UNI LS OBB PKS RAI2008
