Govt to provide houses to all poor people: CM

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 6 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today said the government's aim was to make available houses for all those without a home in the state within four years.

Inaugurating the state-level ''Pattayamela'' here, he said when the Left Democratic Front (LDF) completes its five-year term, all poor people in the state would have a house on their own.

The government's aim was to provide a piece of land and a house to all the landless poor people and Adivasis, he said adding land would be distributed to 50,000 landless people when the government completed one year in office.
