Ex AMC corporator. son remanded in police custody
Akola, Feb 6 (UNI) Former Akola Municipal Corporation (AMC) Congress corporator Aliyar Khan and his son, Azad, who were arrested in connection with rioting during the civic polls on February one, have been remanded in police custody till February 12.
The two were produced before a local court here yesterday which remanded them in police custody.
The two had allegedly caused disturbances during the polling at Polling Centre No 136 and their supporters had resorted to stone pelting. The police had to resort to a mild lathi charge to disperse the mob.
