CMO of Sushruta Trauma Centre at ISBT caught taking bribe

New Delhi, Feb 6 (UNI) The Chief Medical Officer of Sushruta Trauma Centre, along with another employee, was today arrested by the CBI for accepting a bribe of Rs one lakh from a medical supplier.

Dr Vikas Rampal, CMO Sushruta Trauma Centre, was caught while accepting the bribe, along with a Nursing Orderly, Misri Lal, who was also a union leader at the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital at Delhi Gate, the CBI said.

''Both were arrested this evening at their office by CBI sleuths.'' Raids are on at the residence of both the accused.

The trap was laid after the businessman lodged a complaint against the two, the CBI added.
