Case against website owner for screening new film

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 6: Police have registered a case against a website owner for uploading new Malayalm film 'Notebook' on the portal.

The police registered the case on the basis of a complaint lodged by Grihalakshmi Films general manager Sreekumar Menon that the movie produced by P V Gangadharan was being screened on the Internet.

The complainant said the website www.malluwood.net had not obtained the copyrights to screen the film on the website.

According to Kozikode City Police Commissioner Balaram Kumar Upadyaya, an investigation had already begun.

'Notebook,' directed by Roshan Andrews, is a story about a bunch of class twelve students, who deals with their problems by sticking together and sharing them with one another. Their problems range from love to exam marks and relationship with their parents and teachers.
