Ashok Leyland's sales up by 67 per cent

Chennai, Feb 6 (UNI) Hinduja Group Flagship Ashok Leyland has reported a 67 per cent increase in sales for the month of January 2007.

Domestic sales were up 62 per cent to 9096 vehicles as compared to 5618 vehicles in Jan 6, a company release here today said.

Total vehicle sales stood at 9650, up 67 per cent compared to 5787 in Jan 2006.

Cumulative sales are up 42 per cent year-on-year basis to 66604 vehicles while cumulative domestic sales was up 43 per cent, to 61770 vehicles and exports are up by 23 per cent, at 4834 vehicles, the release added.
