Artillerymen, Bihar Regiment to clash in Gold Cup final

Guna, Feb 6 (UNI) The Artillery Centre, Hyderabad, and the Bihar Regimental Centre, Danapur, today entered the final of the 34th All-India Lal Bahadur Shastri Memorial Gold Cup Hockey Tournament by respectively pipping the Border Security Force, Hazaribagh, 1-0 and the Electronics and Mechanical Engineers, Jalandhar, 3-2.

Morgan scored the solitary field goal for the artillerymen in the 37th minute of the second half.

In the other semifinal, Bihar Regimental Centre made the score read 1-0 in the 23rd minute. The second half witnessed the EME's Rajveer firing the equaliser. Just six minutes later, Rajveer scored yet again.

In the 63rd minute, the Bihar Regimental Centre's Joseph Killu successfully converted a penalty corner and four minutes later Ansol Kindo's field goal ended matters for the EME.

The event is being organised by the local municipal council.
